Construction waste adds up to 30% - 40% of all landfill waste and much of it can be reused or recycled with more sustainable results than sending it to the landfill. Deconstruction is construction in reverse: dismantling buildings by hand and saving the materials to be used again instead of sending them to the landfill. Demolition creates waste, but deconstruction creates jobs and reusable materials.
If you are starting a remodeling, building or demolition project, we can help. We provide trained and fully insured deconstruction crews to provide partial deconstruction and full demolition of residential or commercial buildings.
We work directly with the property owners or contractor/remodeler to schedule work for your project. Materials harvested from the site are completely inventoried for the property owners and then brought to one of our retail locations for re-sale at very affordable prices. Our services literally save tons of building materials from landfills every year.
As a non-profit organization, materials and associated costs of our services are considered a charitable contribution and are tax-deductible.
Steps of the DeConstruction Process:
- Contact: DeConstruction Services at 612-728-9388. After conducting a brief phone interview about your project, we will schedule a walk-through of the property if necessary.
- Contract: From this information we will create an appropriate deconstruction option and contract agreement suited to your project.
- DeConstruction: After scheduling with you and/or your contractor, we will provide a fully insured and highly trained crew to safely disassemble and remove your reusable building materials.
- Deduction: Upon completion of the job, we mail an inventory
